The Challenge

The emerging activewear brand just launched their company with a directive to grow brand awareness and sales with a limited budget.

The Solution

After discussions with the Versa business development team, the activewear brand decided to move forward with a performance-based affiliate program as their primary go-to-market marketing channel.  To generate impactful brand awareness and sales, the strategy was to target editorial teams at mass media publications.  Editors writing about relevant topics and reaching the activewear’s target audience were identified and contacted.  Product was sent to them, and the brand story and product focus explained.

The Results

In a short period of time dozens of editors began writing about the activewear’s brands and products.  Engaging articles generated buzz and brand awareness.  Consumer promotions aligned with each article generated traffic to the website and helped convert sales.

Within the first 6 months the activewear’s affiliate program was generating a monthly run-rate of 6 figure sales and rapidly growing each month.
